job ; Occupational therapy.
I therefore re-educated and rehabilitated patients during 18 years, through various and varied activities, in particular artistic activities and creative hobbies.

At the dawn of my 40th birthday, after looking for inspiration and the courage to get started, LAUR'EN BIJOUX was born.
After all ; "If you do not work for your dream, tell yourself that you are doing it for that of another" (Dhirubhai Ambani) and since I consider that the worst failure would be to never dare to try the adventure ... I launched by offering three first collections: Urban Chic, Veg'Power and Cosmos!

My creations are handmade from cement, then worked with 24K gold, 925 silver, Swarovski crystal, elements of recovered objects, minerals and / or different plants such as real leaves and natural seeds. The cement used is treated so as not to leave traces of dust as well as not to fear water, even if it is preferable not to bathe with the jewelry!
Each creation is unique, although it respects the model of the collection to which it belongs. Apart from the primers, used as is or engraved, everything is done by hand. The prices are between 23 € and 195 €.

I work alone, as a micro-entrepreneur, from my small workshop in the south of France, where I exhibit in a few markets, in parallel with online sales on my site, and three points of sale in stores.
I continue to train myself to improve myself in ever more jewelry techniques, in order to evolve in the new collections that I want to offer.

MY INSPIRATIONS?

Strange choice than that of concrete, you will tell me ?! This is the common denominator of all my collections, resulting from a very simple idea! Passionate about anticipatory films and novels, I projected myself into a hypothetical apocalyptic society, where our destroyed concrete cities would give way to surviving vegetation despite everything, and I asked myself: how would we live? Differently certainly; we would have to adapt ... but whatever the time or civilization, man has always made jewelry and other ornaments, so maybe we would recover small pieces of concrete from our ruins to make jewelry precious ?! We would find plant prints on our destroyed walls, like plant fossils from our past, or recover pieces of now obsolete objects to give them a second life around our necks ... this is the source of my inspirations!
And as our future is looming more or less towards a transformation (wanted or not) of current society, ... my jewelry is just getting ahead! Evolving jewelry! ...
